Daylong Teaching: Making Human Culture
« Back to EventsSaturday, February 16th, 2013 (9:00h-17:00h)
Our commitment to future generations can be built on a willingness to learn and try and fail and learn some more about how a sane culture is a kind of cooking pot, the clay for which was taken from ancestral soil, and how that cooking pot hangs from a tripod of relation: how the villagers are with each other, how they are with the created world around them, how they are with the Unseen World. What would a culture look like if it didn’t offer old time authentic initiation for its young people? Well, look around, friends. This is what it looks like. Initiation coalesces a person’s kinship with humanity, with creation, with the other world.
