Privacy Policy

A Note from Stephen Jenkinson regarding ‘privacy policy’ declarations:

When I first considered having a website it was against my better judgement. A troglodyte by nature, I saw neither the need nor the merit of the thing. Clearly, I blinked, and proceeded with the following proviso: everything appearing on or through the site would be consistent in its heart with the teaching, training and advocacy work I was doing. It’s always been an uncertain thing for me, this having a presence on the internet.

The question of personal information storage, retrieval and use has never come up, and. was not an issue at Orphan Wisdom until the decision was made to update and redo the website in the latter half of this year. I’ve been advised that the ‘business environment’ has changed such that some kind of privacy policy declaration such as the one appearing below is all but mandatory. I’ve proceed with it as I’ve done from the beginning: hesitantly, ambivalently, intending that my good faith deal with those of you who’ve come to my work might prevail. But, realistically, it’s a big world. Hence, the policy.
