The Jesus Session
In person event January 6-11, 2026
in the Orphan Wisdom Hall, Ontario, Canada
In these events we follow the example of those ancient monks who grappled with what came down to them, and coaxed sound onto vellum. We’ll gather in the Great Hall by candle to listen to recordings of past teaching events.
When people used to ask what they would get from coming to the Orphan Wisdom School, the response was often that “we do not…what you bring to our time together will, in part, influence what happens. Your questions, your being puzzled by a certain something, your apprehension, your wondering: that is what you can bring”. We encourage you to bring these same good wonderings and inquiry to The Boreal Sessions.

- Shared accommodation at the Orphan Wisdom Guest House

- Transcribing the 2017 Big Tent Jesus Session
- Private session with Stephen in the Hall

- Recordings of the live filmed weekend event will be available by January 20th
- The three recordings from 2017 and the filmed weekend event material will be available until the end of Jan. 2027
Plus live participation in the weekend Jesus Session Event. Stephen Jenkinson will be joined by two esteemed guests in his Teaching Hall at Orphan Wisdom, Andrew McLuhan and Janeta Kobes.
