A few of us are now deep into transcription work with The Scriptorium Library and the upcoming Boreal Session in mind. The following excerpt comes from what turned out to be the last class of The Orphan Wisdom School:
2022 – Cohort: The People Who Are So

Your learning is for you. That’s why they call it ‘your learning.’
Sounds like a consumer culture talking, doesn’t it? Yeah. And if you think about the synonyms, the euphemisms we use, instead of the verb ‘to learn,’ you will get much closer to the bone, real fast. How about ‘process?’ “I can only process so much of the Jenkinson stuff at one time and then…”
How about, ‘integrate?’ “You’re saying there’s anything wrong with this stuff?” I’m saying it’s not learning. That “integrate” thing, that’s way down the line. And it may happen, and it may not. Because if the learning is for real, you may not be able to integrate that shit into your thing, because your thing will take a fatal hit from the learning.
The Boreal Sessions will be the only event this year to happen at Orphan Wisdom. The applications and the artwork submitted along with them, have been very impressive. And there are three open spots.
