This page has been set up to help people who would like to order from Orphan Wisdom but are struggling with the orders system. Our new website will be live soon. Until then, hopefully this page can help you navigate our outdated system a bit smoother.

Shipping Issues

We ship our books around the world, to wherever you live. If our shipping system says otherwise, it’s in error. We’ll definitely ship your order to you. If you do have any issues with our system telling you it can’t ship to where you live, you can email us. If you provide us with a screenshot of that error and that will help us sort it out (For instructions how to do this: for Windows check here, and for a Mac check here).

Is this ‘pre-order’ still accurate?

Matrimony: Ritual, Culture, and the Heart’s Work is Stephen Jenkinson’s new book. We have received the physical copies of the books and are processing all orders now. Stephen will gladly sign book orders placed directly from Orphan Wisdom, simply indicate to whom you would like Stephen to dedicate the signature on the order page. If you order multiple copies you can add all the names together in the box:

Trouble With Checkout

After you choose how many books you would like to purchase click the ‘Add to Cart’ button and the page will refresh giving you a pastel blue banner indicating that the items have been successfully added to your cart:

When you are finished adding items to your cart and you wish to proceed to check out – either click the ‘View cart’ link in the banner. You can also choose the Shop > Cart to visit your cart at any time or chose Shop > Checkout to go directly to the checkout page:

The cart page enables you to: add more copies of items in your cart, or remove items in your cart, prior to proceeding to checkout. There are two possible shipping rates – one directly provided by Canada Post and the other a flat rate provided by Orphan Wisdom – choose the best one for you and then click ‘Proceed to Checkout’:

The checkout page has two address fields; ‘Billing Address’ and ‘Shipping Address’. The default is to assume that you need to ship to an address different from your billing address. You can uncheck the box if that is not what you need and it will only ask for a billing address:

If you are a returning customer you can click the login button in the blue banner at the top of the Checkout page:
